I haven't been using this journal much anymore, but until I again become inspired to write publically, here is my birthday list with 37 random facts about me for my 37 years. This is my 3rd such list in 3 years, so hopefully I haven't started repeating myself yet...



1. My top 2 dream destinations are France and Egypt.
2. I've been to Canada 3 times

5. I have an inside joke with my 17-year-old son that involves the word "mcgravy"
6. I really dislike air travel
7. I love jewelry but have moral problems with buying it

9. As a child, I ate peanut-butter and mayonnaise sandwiches.
10. I dislike tomatoes and mushrooms.
11. I am anemic.
12. The fingers on my left hand are slightly smaller than on my right.
13. On my mother's side, my family is Danish, Dutch, and German.
14. On my father's side, my family is English and Scots.
15. My earliest exposure to feminism was through Enjolie perfume commercials.
16. I was born on 03/03 along with 33 other babies at the same hospital that day.
17. I've only had one dental cavity.
18. It took approximately 15 years for my wisdom teeth to fully emerge.
19. Flying dreams give me the greatest sence of freedom I've ever experienced.
20. Eating pomegranates feels exotic to me.
21. While pregnant with my first son, I craved cantelope.
22. While pregnant with my second son, I craved banana popsicles.

29. Although I have deep respect for the Christian Bible as literature, mythology, history, and a spiritual guide for many people, I can't shake the desire to write a parody of it.

32. My favorite bird is currently the great blue heron.

34. Even though I haven't yet seen all of Ratatouille, the "anyone can cook" message resonates deeply for me.
